Outback Program
Outback Trek
Treks consist of a weeklong guided hiking adventure. Crews hike on rugged trails with amazing views. Our trails cover rougher terrain than many you will encounter at other camps, making our treks a special experience. Each crew will stay at pre-existing campsites. Once at the campsite, crews will have time for independent activities and exploration as well as arranged programming.
We have added a new 2026 BTSR Leader's Guide Update. It has been updated with the newest information. The State of Texas Legislature passed new legislation concerning Youth Camps in September of 2025. As part that new legislation, a link to the Department of State Health Services Youth Camps website for campers, parents, and camp staff and volunteers to use to report the camps’s noncompliance with this chapter must be on our website.
